Full or Part Time Permanent We are assembling a nationwide team of Diabetes Specialist Nurse Advisors to work in primary care across the country. Current opportunities are available in: Essex, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, North West London, Peterborough / Cambridgeshire, Slough, South Wales, and Watford. If you are not based in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, or London, please still apply as we are actively looking for Diabetes Specialist Nurses nationwide. You will be committed to delivering the highest quality care to improve patient outcomes, in line with local and national Diabetes guidelines (NG28). Working proactively, you will identify sub-optimally controlled patients with Type 2 diabetes, optimise their oral therapy, conduct point of care testing, and refer for specialist insulin treatment when necessary, while exercising corporate nursing responsibilities. Standard Working Day:

8.30-5.30, dependent on travel to the practice location. A typical schedule would include a 6-hour clinic plus travel, with a maximum advised travel time of 2 hours to reach the clinic location. Essential Responsibilities: Diabetes diploma or equivalent A minimum of 3 years experience (post-registration) managing diabetes within primary care Knowledgeable and confident in providing education, support, and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes Skills and knowledge in the optimisation of oral hypoglycaemics Full driving licence Current NMC registration IT literacy, including primary care systems Benefits: Annual bonus incentive scheme (worth up to 10% of annual salary) Car allowance or company car (depending on contract) + fuel card for business miles Company pension, including salary sacrifice Private medical insurance NMC/RCN fees reimbursed Monthly broadband contribution Daily lunch allowance when in practice 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (increasing after 5 years service), pro rata for part time Laptop and mobile phone provided Nurse Progression Pathway for career development Company events Company sick pay For more information or to apply for this
