This role is based on-site 5 days a week. Our Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the administration of the diamond centre team is of the highest standard and diamond movements are always fully compliant with the latest guidelines. They are responsible for data accuracy, ensuring that stone provenance and traceability information is well maintained and managed. They will support the Diamond Centre Manager on High Jewellery and work closely with our existing team members to update and align reporting across the relevant work streams. In this role you will have 2 direct reports, Diamond Centre Coordinator & Diamond Centre Assistant. Key Responsibilities: Learn & strictly uphold compliance standards when shipping goods, covering Customs, Kimberley Process and G7 regulations. Ensure that all departments that move diamonds are up to date with the latest information and movement requirements. Ensure the diamond centre team, the diamond replenishment team, the manufacturing team and polished division are managing all diamond data to the required standards to ensure overall compliance. Gather latest diamond cost information from polished division on a monthly basis, updating price books, SAP and communicating updates to supply planning and merchandising. Ensure that all diamonds selected and supplied adhere to rigorous DBJ standards of quality, sourcing ethics and IoD and/or GIA laboratory certification guidelines. Responsible for inventory maintenance, ensuring that returns from manufacturers and intakes from other parts of the supply chain are correctly processed and data updated. Liaise with Labs to ensure the smooth processing of all DBJ Diamonds in line with the required timelines. Responsible for the management of all consigned diamonds, receiving, tracking, ensuring return as agreed with the suppliers. Maintain accurate records in SAP regarding movements of all diamonds. Provide daily feedback to relevant stakeholders about project progress. Ad hoc reporting. Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years in Project Management/Product Development GIA, Gem-A or other general diamond/jewellery background required Experience with diamond jewellery development and project management Comfortable with the creative process of jewellery design Highly numerical and detail-focused Understanding of the technically precise requirements of high-value fine jewellery Excellent communicator who can provide clear, concise updates to all levels of internal and external stakeholders Ownership mentality Able to independently problem-solve and proactively troubleshoot Committed to upholding DBJ standards and respectful of the need for total accuracy of diamond and jewellery data Detail-oriented, yet sees the whole picture and keeps wider goals in mind Able to multi-task and handle a wide breadth of complex workstreams; highly organised Can work effectively in a fast-moving, pressured work environment while retaining a collaborative attitude Energetic, inspires others to high performance, self-motivated with the drive to operate effectively in ambiguity Values and role models a diverse, inclusive working environment in which everyone can work to their full potential.
