Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

Basic literacy and numeracy, general education Evidence of nutrition qualification, NVQ study to level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care Desirable criteria

Food Hygiene Certificate Degree in Nutrition related subject Experience

Essential criteria

To have experience of working as part of a team Previous experience working with the public Experience in dealing with members of the public who may have communication difficulties To have administrative experience To work independently within defined parameters Desirable criteria

To have experience of working in a health care setting To have previous experience of working as a Nutrition Assistant To have experience of working as a member of a Dietetic Team Experience in coordinating group education programmes Experience in delivering group education Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

Has a good knowledge of the role of the Dietitian Understands Health & Safety policy and is aware of the need to comply with other relevant Trust and departmental policies and procedures Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to arrange events and meetings for clients and staff Understanding the need for confidentiality Understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunities Desirable criteria
