An exciting opportunity has become available within the Digital and Information directorate within NHS Fife. We are looking for engaging individuals who have a great ability to convey information in a supportive manner and a keen interest in supporting others to learn. The role of Digital and Information Trainer will focus on delivering training on digital systems to service users and staff. You will be involved in the full life cycle of training on the HEPMA Programme of work from determining training needs to creating and delivering training, whilst identifying ways to keep improving the training offered. You will develop and provide a range of training materials to enable standardised training programmes, providing a self-help approach to user training. Working with the Strategy and Programmes team to ensure all training materials are developed in a standardised format. NHS Fife is ambitious in developing its Digital and Information Strategy 2019-2024 to support organisational change and modernise service delivery through digital for the benefit of staff, patients, carers and the public. This post will act as an exemplary advocate of this agenda. You must be able to travel throughout Fife and across Scotland as required, and you should be able to flex working hours to meet the needs of training delivery. Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager. The secondment policy can be found here

To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
