The Digital Content Manager is a key new role in a new team within the Audiences and Brand directorate, managing all the Museum's digital platforms, channels, and outputs. Collaborating with colleagues from across the Museum and external partners, the role holder will be responsible for the development of inspiring and enriching digital content and experiences to bring our collections, research, programmes, and stories to life. The Digital Content team's work is fundamental to enabling the Museum to achieve its digital, audience development, and income ambitions, ensuring our digital content and platforms deliver value to our audiences and organisation. The role holder will have extensive experience working with websites and digital content management systems, alongside managing and growing organisational social media channels of significant scale. They will have managed and supervised photography and filming shoots and will have experience planning and delivering complex digital campaigns to a deadline. The candidate should possess a creative flair, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong copywriting and editing skills, demonstrating close attention to detail. You will be based at the Fitzwilliam Museum, the principal museum of the University of Cambridge and one of the world's leading university museums. With over half a million works of art and antiquities spanning many cultures and centuries, the Museum has an international reputation for excellence in research, conservation, exhibitions, and learning. As well as over 500,000 visitors who enjoy the Museum each year, we share our collections with a much wider audience through our touring exhibitions, loans, community engagement, digital programmes, and research. To help support our staff to thrive both professionally and personally, we have adopted a system of hybrid working, empowering staff to split their time between in-person collaboration and remote working. The frequency of remote working may vary and will be subject to discussion with your line manager.
