Digital CSS Designer - Birmingham or Peterborough Salary and benefits: Up to £30,000 plus excellent benefits. Contract length: Permanent, Full time. Locations: Peterborough, West Midlands, Birmingham. We have a brand new role as our well-known travel industry client recruits for a Digital CSS Designer to join their team, based in either Birmingham or Peterborough. As a CSS Designer, you'll be responsible for crafting engaging and intuitive user interfaces that elevate our client's customers' online experiences. You'll work closely with their IT team to implement captivating designs, ensuring that their travel platform stands out in the competitive landscape. Your expertise in CSS and design principles will be vital in creating responsive, visually appealing, and user-friendly web experiences that enhance their customers' interactions with their brand. Role of Digital CSS Designer: Translate design mockups into well-structured, efficient, and visually appealing CSS code. Collaborate with the management and IT team to implement responsive and user-centric web interfaces that align with the company's brand identity and user experience standards. Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining exceptional visual quality. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent rendering across various devices and platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve CSS-related issues to create a seamless user experience for all website visitors. Implement responsive design principles to ensure our travel platform provides a consistent and visually appealing experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Conduct performance testing and implement optimizations to improve page loading speed and overall user experience. Work closely with other teams to understand project requirements and provide valuable input during the design phase. Skills required for the role: Proven experience as a CSS Designer or Front-End Developer with a strong focus on CSS. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass or Less). Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development. Strong attention to detail and ability to create pixel-perfect designs. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices is a plus. Passion for the travel industry and a keen interest in creating visually captivating experiences for users.
