We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Forensics Intern to join us for 12 months. This role will give you the opportunity to become involved with a range of tasks and gain valuable experience in the Digital Forensics arena. Responsibilities
Collect, review, and interpret a range of digital forensic data to make inferences and describe why a situation has, or might occur. Undertake the forensic examination and retrieval of evidence and/or intelligence from computers, computer-related media, and other digital devices recovered during investigations. Provide technical advice and assistance to officers engaged in the investigation of digital crimes throughout the South Wales Police area. Eligibility
The internship will commence in September 2025. To be eligible, you must be working towards a degree in a relevant subject related to Digital Forensics. You will have knowledge in Microsoft Windows, OS X, iOS, Linux, and Android operating systems, with a sound understanding of criminal law, with particular emphasis on computer crime legislation, including RIPA, computer misuse, ECHR, and Data Protection.
