Digital Practice Lead

We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned consultancy client seeking an experienced Digital Practice Lead. This pivotal role is part of a central market-facing team tasked with uncovering major digital opportunities and developing innovative digital propositions to enhance the UK Insurance market. These opportunities span the full digital landscape, including large-scale product transformations and modernizing customer experiences through data-driven insights.

As the Digital Solution Lead, you will leverage expertise in both front and back-end design, API integration, and CRM platforms (including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics) to shape digital solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with the client's strategic goals, ensuring that all implementations are scalable, secure, and future-ready.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Pre-Sales Solution Design & Architecture

  • Engage with C-suite technologists to identify digital opportunities and influence strategic decisions.
  • Lead the design of comprehensive digital solutions from inception through to implementation.
  • Architect secure, scalable integration solutions to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Define technology stack, data models, and integration frameworks to support API-driven digital projects.
  • Uphold best practices in system architecture, API management, and data security.


2. Digital Transformation Initiatives

  • Manage digital transformation projects focused on creating customer-centric solutions for both greenfield and modernization contexts.
  • Ensure alignment of digital initiatives with business goals, supporting long-term digital strategies.


3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite and transformation leaders within UK Insurance market clients.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, define solution roadmaps, and prioritize feature delivery.
  • Work with a broad ecosystem of technology partners to integrate and deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
  • Establish agile teams, promoting DevOps and product-centric methodologies to ensure client value.


Key Skills:


  • Relationship Building: Exceptional EQ and communication skills, with a track record of building strong C-level relationships. Familiarity with Commercial and Specialty Insurance is an advantage.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify and shape innovative commercial solutions, creating compelling narratives for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solution Architecture: Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable, complex digital solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in CRM platforms, data modeling, system integrations, and API development.
  • Project Management: Skilled in agile methodologies, capable of leading digital projects from concept to completion.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in digital solution design and implementation, with a focus on CRM and API integration.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Familiarity with API management platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, AWS API Gateway) and best practices in API integration.
  • Expertise in RESTful and SOAP API development, with a focus on security mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical skills to identify business needs and develop digital solutions.
  • Innovation: Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
