Full Time Internship Paid (Part time during first stage or training) Position Overview: The Digital Print Operator Intern supports the print production team in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting digital printing equipment. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals interested in learning the technical and operational aspects of digital printing. Full training will be provided on all machines, making this a great opportunity for those new to the field to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: Print Operation & Production Support
Assist in operating digital printers, including loading materials, setting print specifications, and monitoring print jobs. Prepare and inspect digital files for quality and accuracy before printing, ensuring that they meet company standards. Monitor print jobs for consistency, colour accuracy, and output quality, making minor adjustments as necessary. Quality Control
Conduct quality checks to ensure final prints meet required standards. Identify and troubleshoot minor issues with prints, reporting any larger problems to the supervisor. Maintain records of print jobs, materials used, and any issues encountered during production. Equipment Maintenance
Assist with routine cleaning, calibration, and basic maintenance of digital printers. Support preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and reliably. Notify the Print Supervisor of any major issues that require repairs or service. Inventory and Material Management
Track and manage inventory of print materials (e.g., paper, inks, and cartridges). Assist in ordering and stocking materials needed for print production. Ensure the work area is organised, clean, and meets safety standards. Administrative Support
Document production details and prepare reports on print job metrics, material usage, and job completion. Assist with the organisation and archiving of digital files. Communicate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and resolve issues. Qualifications: Education:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Graphic Design, Print Technology, Digital Media, or a related field. Technical Skills:
Familiarity with basic digital design tools; prior knowledge of digital printing equipment is a plus, but not required as full training will be provided. Attention to Detail:
Strong focus on accuracy, colour matching, and quality standards. Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues and suggest improvements. Communication Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills for documenting tasks and communicating with team members. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. Note:
