At National Grid, we keep people connected and society moving. But it’s so much more than that. National Grid supplies us with the environment to make it happen. As we generate momentum in the energy transition for all, we don’t plan on leaving any of our customers in the dark. So, join us as a Digital Product Manager, and find your superpower. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Product Manager to join our high-performing team. In this role you’ll be developing our digital products and agenda. You’ll be delivering digital technologies to optimise energy generation, transmission and distribution, and overseeing the lifecycle of digital products that will help make Net Zero happen. You’ll be involved in everything from product design to production, mapping the digital landscape and defining the long-term roadmap. This is a job for those with aspirations for future leadership. You’ll be working on greenfield projects with enormous scope and multi-million-pound investment. You’ll be given great autonomy and the opportunity to deliver meaningful change at the heart of the energy transition. National Grid is hiring a Digital Product Manager for our Strategic Infrastructure department. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick 1-3 days a week.

Key Accountabilities

Communicating and building strong, collaborative relationships with senior management. This is the biggest part of the role. You will inspire new ways of thinking, influence attitudes, decisions and actions for mutual benefit and keep colleagues updated on digital progress. Making digital a reality, rather than an aspiration. Driving a digital culture and the adoption of products in alignment with the strategic direction of National Grid. Setting out and communicating the overall vision of the digital roadmap for your product, define and prioritise features and enhancements. Researching the market and staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute fresh ideas to the product team. Leading scoping, requirements definition, and priority setting then managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational lifecycle. Developing a well-balanced, cross-functional team by ensuring learning opportunities are identified and optimised, and people are given the support they need. Ensuring your team members build good relationships with relevant stakeholders. They must be professional, open, collaborative and able to challenge others and be challenged themselves in an amicable, respectful way. Acting as the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution within your field. About You

You have significant experience within a Product Manager role delivering digital products in a fast-paced agile delivery environment and are passionate about delivering a great user experience. Influential and persuasive, you champion creativity and innovation. You are good at making decisions, even when you have incomplete information and time. You are highly self-motivated and able to work without a lot of direction. Your business knowledge is broad and deep. You have strong verbal and written communication skills, underpinned by the understanding that effective communication usually involves listening more than speaking. You are good at identifying what colleagues are actually asking for. Crucially, you know how to translate information about IT into language everyone can understand. What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £56,000 - £70,000 – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few. At National Grid, we work towards the highest standards in everything we do, including how we support, value and develop our people. Our aim is to encourage and support employees to thrive and be the best they can be. We celebrate the difference people can bring into our organisation, and welcome and encourage applicants with diverse experiences and backgrounds, and offer flexible and tailored support, at home and in the office. Our goal is to drive, develop and operate our business in a way that results in a more inclusive culture. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, the innovation from diverse teams & perspectives and business need. We are committed to building a workforce so we can represent the communities we serve and have a working environment in which each individual feels valued, respected, fairly treated, and able to reach their full potential.
