In this role, you will oversee the Council’s Digital Services Team, playing a pivotal role in shaping our digital strategy and delivering services that truly meet the needs of our residents and stakeholders. As the Digital Services Manager, you will lead a team of skilled professionals with expertise in user-centred content design, prototyping and concept development, inclusive research, and accessible design practices. These disciplines align with the Government Digital Service DDAT Capability Framework, ensuring our approach meets the highest standards of quality and inclusivity. Your leadership will drive the creation of innovative, accessible, and effective digital solutions, helping us deliver services that work for everyone in our community. About you

With extensive experience of transforming digital services in large, complex organisations, you excel in leading user-centred design teams and developing digital talent. You have a strong track record of driving innovation through digital product development, behaviour change, and creating services tailored to user needs. Your expertise includes service redesign, data-driven decision-making, user research, prototyping, and web standards development, along with skills in content design, integration, web metrics, and customer journey mapping. A skilled project manager, you effectively deliver programmes on time and within budget, even when juggling competing priorities.
