Key to our future Innovation and the development of high quality, innovative and cost-effective ice cream products is the ability to innovate at speed through the use of Digital Tools. This position sits within the Ice Cream Global Research, Development & Innovation (R&D&I) Team in Colworth, Sharnbrook, UK. The successful candidate will work as part of the Digital and Data Team and work collaboratively with people across a range of roles in R&D&I including: Formulation and Ingredient Experts, Product Developers in Global and Regional Teams, central IT and Third Party Partners. The applicant needs to employ system and business analysis skills and have a passion to embrace a Digital Mindset to support the Digital Agenda and create and co-develop new Digital Tools and solutions to support the needs of the R&D&I community. The applicant will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different teams to deliver meaningful Business Impact through current and new Digital Tool development. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the delivery of the Ice Cream Research, Development & Innovation ('R&D&I') Digital Programme. Explore, analyse and define digital approaches across R&D&I and embed Digital mindset. Partner with Global users, capability teams and Third Parties to define, create and co-develop Digital Tools with the end user needs and experience top of mind. Analyse the needs of end users to understand how digital capability/tools can support and elevate Ice Cream R&D efficiency. Collaborate across R&D&I to investigate, design and land new digital capability in the Global Ice Cream Business. KEY INTERFACES: R&D&I project leaders & developers in all teams and all Regions. Technical specialists across Ice Cream R&D&I capabilities and other functions e.g. Supply Chain, Procurement. Supplier/Partner Organisations / IT Function. ALL ABOUT YOU: Strong self-drive, proactive and diligent mindset, with good attention to detail and organizational skills. Good computer literacy/experience with proven ability to learn new systems. Passion for using and developing Digital Tools as an enabler to help all Product Developers. Ability to prioritize workload against demand from multiple customers and projects. Collaborative mind-set, able to work with co-developers, experts and end users. Working knowledge of key Unilever processes and systems, e.g. PLM. University degree/diploma or equivalent experience in food innovation or product development. Proven experience (>2 years) in the food industry, especially in product development. A formal Digital background is not necessarily required, but enthusiasm for building Digital tools, helping support and being a Champion for the Digital programme is critical.
