The Security Services Group is a specialist business unit within DIO providing security solutions across the MOD and wider Government Estate. With over 230 staff in the UK, Germany, Cyprus, and Gibraltar, SSG designs, installs, and maintains critical security systems, ensuring the safety of Defence Operations. Job description Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing numbers and building strong working relationships? Join us as the Accounts Payable Manager at SSG and play a pivotal role in our finance team! Key Responsibilities: Input, process, and ensure the timely payment of invoices. Manage payments, including BACS and faster payments. Approve requisitions and purchase orders to support smooth operations. Oversee the day-to-day management of supplier accounts. Create and report vital management information. Provide line management for Accounts Officer positions. Support Accounts Receivable and finance managers with ad-hoc requests, including period-end processes. Receive full functional training on business-specific systems. Person specification Essential: Proven experience within a finance-related role. Knowledge of SAGE, CASH, or equivalent. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers. Confidence in using finance systems, with the ability to adapt to new tools (training provided). A flexible and proactive approach to supporting other business areas when needed. Desirable: AAT or desire to work towards? Experience within an accounts payable role. Finance Skills Certificate - Foundation (will need to be obtained within the first six months of joining if you do not already hold this).
