This position is responsible for leading key areas of Accounting and supporting the International Accounting Team. It involves managing the assigned accounting functions for the business within the Accounting organization, including being responsible for delivery (quality & timeliness) of Accounting, associated compliance and transformation. This leader not only oversees day to day Accounting activities but also thinks and acts strategically. This change agent will lead and ensure successful full adoption of change and transformation projects. These projects include people, process, technical accounting, reporting and system aspects, as well as acquisitions and divestitures. Experience in managing accounting activities across multiple countries and currencies Experience of being in a Centre of Excellence / Shared Service Center environment Experience managing a team of managers and professionals Direct project management experience, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing of projects Experience in running continuous improvement projects, conducting root cause analysis and preparing data consolidation Working knowledge of accounting systems and applications including SAP, Analytics and Reporting tools and Blackline Strong knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices Strong knowledge of International business & accounting practices and processes including local statutory reporting in EMEA, IFRS and US GAAP Proficiency in financial modelling and an interest in Digital Finance Excellent communication and leadership skills Good team, organizational planning skills, sound judgment, calm but work with a high sense of urgency, attention to detail and strong time management You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. Fluency in English, written and spoken. ACCA, CIMA or similar industry qualification. Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience working in a large global organization Worked in an accounting role reporting on ESG. Knowledge of International business & accounting practices and processes including local statutory reporting in EMEA, IFRS and US GAAP Knowledge of Accounting systems such as SAP and Blackline Project Management experience, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
