Job Description As the Director of DevOps Security, you will form part of the global technology leadership team and will shape the delivery processes and drive a security-focused culture at Sage. You will collaborate with development teams, champion agile and DevSecOps principles, and implement automation to create scalable solutions. You will oversee the design of strategies that reduce risk, enhance resilience, and protect Sage’s products and services throughout its lifecycle. By advising senior leaders on cybersecurity advancements, you will support Sage’s broader business ambitions, ensuring security across SaaS environments and the global IT ecosystem while combating cyber threats effectively.

This is a hybrid opportunity (3 days a week) based out of our London office. Key Responsibilities As the leader of a high-performing, globally distributed team, you’ll inspire and motivate team members across regions and time zones, driving security improvements across Sage’s products and IT environments. You’ll lead the delivery of a comprehensive security roadmap, embedding agile and DevSecOps principles into the Software Development Lifecycle and championing automation for scalable solutions. Your influence on senior leadership ensures security remains a priority in product engineering roadmaps. Overseeing vulnerability management, architecture reviews, and threat assessments, you'll play a pivotal role in handling cyber security incidents and advising on strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, while planning for future risk reduction and efficiency.

You will have extensive experience in leading diverse, multi-cultural technology teams across large, complex organisations and driving major technology transformation programs. An inspiring leader who builds successful teams and unlocks potential in technical talent. With deep expertise in securing mission-critical SaaS environments, you will excel in embedding cybersecurity across the software development life-cycle and DevOps practices. Previous experience of leading design and implementation of security controls in Agile environments and guiding teams through security incidents is required. With industry-recognised qualifications in business and technology, you will be adept at driving process change and advising senior leaders on complex technical concepts.
