Director, Full-Stack Developer

to join our team. This role is located in

Manchester

office. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, front-end and back-end developers Design, develop and implement microservices using Java Spring Boot, ensuring code is modular, testable and reusable Design, develop and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript/Java ensuring an exceptional user experience Ensure seamless integration and communication between front-end and back-end components Create RESTful APIs (gRPC) to enable smooth communication between microservices and external systems Conduct regular code reviews, unit testing, CI and maintain high code quality and reliability Develop and present high-level design proposals, renderings, and presentations to clients and stakeholders Provide strategic input & decision-making, manage & reduce blockers, & ensure continuous flow of work, helping pod owners refine & reprioritize pod backlogs Foster a culture of collaboration, actively participating in team brainstorming sessions and sharing knowledge across pods Support team members in navigating challenges, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with the project's overall vision Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and technical development To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Strong expertise in Core / Advanced Java and OOP Proficiency in front-end technologies: Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience in developing and deploying microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data or similar frameworks Knowledge of JIRA, JUnit and Apache Kafka are preferred Effective coach and mentor with the ability to influence, make hard decisions, and problem-solve Passion for changing the status quo, driving out-of-the-box thinking, and ability to adapt and lead through change Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, information technology or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required Extensive experience delivering digital transformation initiatives in an agile working environment Proven track record of delivering successful, adopted solutions Active learner who understands modern architecture patterns and is not afraid to dive into complex business processes Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
