The Strategy & Operational Excellence team is on a mission to improve both our customer and employee experience by transforming how we plan, buy, make, and distribute products in Waters Global Operations. Our four pillars of focus include Strategy, Processes and Systems, Continuous Improvement, and Insights. As the Director, Global Operations Data Governance, you will be responsible for building out a new data governance team to drive improvements in roles, processes, policies and tools to ensure proper data quality throughout the data lifecycle and proper data usage across Global Operations, in particular, but not exclusively, as it relates to Master Data in our ERP system. This will require you to engage with the Global Operations leadership team to align on the vision and strategy, collaborate with / influence colleagues across our global network to ensure focused execution of the improvement roadmap, and monitor the impact of those improvements. Responsibilities

Establish a data governance framework for Global Operations, aligned with the broader enterprise. Mobilize and lead a small, cross-functional team of subject-matter experts from both business and technology backgrounds. Create, maintain, and execute a roadmap of pragmatic improvements in roles, processes, policies and tools. Enable the organization to drive rapid improvements in Master Data quality to support ongoing ERP transformation activities. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement as it relates to data. Collaborate with stakeholders outside of Global Operations to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise, e.g., with respect to master data management, enterprise IT systems, etc. Develop and attract best-in-class talent. Qualifications

7+ years progressive experience in data governance within supply chain and manufacturing environments. 5+ years experience with SAP (e.g., SAP ECC, APO and S/4 Hana) and SAP master data management, including large ERP transformation programs. Proven ability to establish data governance from the ground up. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Solid project management skills, experience managing global, multi-functional projects. Strong influencing skills, proven ability to work across organizational boundaries motivating change and harmonization across a global organization. Results oriented mindset, operates with high sense of urgency. Proven track record of solving problems, breaking down barriers and delivering results ahead of schedule.
