We seek a new Director of Advocacy and Prevention to place animal welfare at the forefront of political, corporate, influencer, and public agendas. This role will shape decision-makers’ views and support the RSPCA’s strategy through effective advocacy and prevention initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based advocacy that drives positive change for animals. Shape the RSPCA’s influencing strategy, guiding policy development, public affairs, and campaigning across England, Wales, and internationally. Ensure up-to-date knowledge and evidence on animal welfare, advocating for policies that drive informed decisions on animal welfare and service delivery. Qualifications
You will have significant experience building relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia, and a proven ability to influence high-level policy decisions. You will possess: A strong understanding of law-making, party politics, and public affairs. A track record of driving change in UK policy or legislation. Spokesperson experience and a solid understanding of animal welfare issues and related legislation. Strong people management capabilities, including leading change and improvement within teams and organisations. Additional Information
