This is a key leadership position with responsibility for delivery both at system and place level of the North West London transformation programmes relating to Clinical Programmes and CMO Directorate including babies, children, young people, maternity and neonates. The role will support the Chief Medical Officer in the refinement & maintenance of Clinical Reference Groups and Clinical Policy Development.
The Director of Clinical Programmes will provide strategic leadership and oversight across the ICS and will be the focal point to tackle system opportunities and issues, including working across the health, social care and education economy to influence and engage stakeholders including families, children, Local Authorities, health and social care providers, third sector organisations, regulators, neighbouring ICS’, and key strategic partners such as NHSE.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the work of the BCYP and Mat Neo Programs and drive strategic, system wide transformation and business change, in collaboration with Clinical Leads, to ensure outcomes and benefits are realised across all programmes. Manage the detailed planning and implementation of these programme areas, ensuring that key milestones are achieved and that the required outcomes are met. Maintain effective relationships with key partners including voluntary and community sector, and ensure key sensitivities are appropriately managed. Manage programme risks ensuring that appropriate mitigations are in place and that risks are escalated as appropriate. Provide oversight of all work streams and projects associated with the Programmes and work with key stakeholders to overcome challenges to delivery within projects. Lead on identifying if any transformational change arising from the programmes require statutory consultation activities, leading associated actions if required. Ensure alignment of the work streams to each other, to other local plans ongoing within the ICS footprint that are outside the scope of the ICB, and to other programmes that may fall outside of the ICS footprint boundaries, seeking advice from others where necessary. Lead review of any new or revised national standards relating to these programmes ensuring any new or different requirements are integrated into the programme processes and outcomes. NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NHS NWL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in eight boroughs across North West London: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
