The University of Gloucestershire is seeking to appoint a Director of Commercial and Transformation (C&T) on an 18-month FTC contract. We are happy to consider applications on a 0.8 or 1 FTE. At the University of Gloucestershire, we believe in the importance of connections: digitally connected, employer connected, community connected, and globally connected. Identifying, creating, and nurturing connections is at the heart of our identity, and defines our core and collective purpose. The Director of C&T will be central to this purpose, bringing together our staff and students' needs as well as building relationships with the wider community in Gloucestershire and beyond. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for leading our commercial and transformation strategy that will utilise resources, increase income generation, and drive forward change for the university. There will be a specific focus on leading a programme of work that will look to commercialise parts of the University Estate; therefore, someone with a background in commercial property development or asset disposals would be beneficial. You will also have a desire for change and experience in bringing teams together to work for the greater good. The postholder will be a member of the University Leadership Group and will work with the Head of Commercial & Procurement and Head of PMO, being responsible for creating a supportive and open environment that encourages new ideas and challenges traditional assumptions. This is a great opportunity for anyone who thrives in a fast-paced and at times, challenging environment. The HE sector is rapidly changing, and we need someone to join our senior leadership team to continue to inspire, motivate, and provide clear direction. For an informal conversation, please contact Hayley Histed (Talent Acquisition Partner) at hhisted@glos.ac.uk. Interview date: 14th February – In Person, campus tbc. To avoid disappointment, please apply early; should we find a suitable candidate, we will close the advert. To apply, please click on APPLY at the bottom of this page. You will be asked to complete our application form; alternatively, you can submit a CV and Support Statement showcasing how you meet the essential criteria. CVs alone will not be considered. Please see applicant guidance for help and advice on how to complete the application process. For more information about our benefits and working for the University, please click here.
