A major global Aerospace & Defence manufacturing group has selected Vectis Recruitment to manage the recruitment of a Director of Estates. The company is embarking on a significant programme of expansion and estates improvement, applicants are sought with a proven track record of strategic direction and developing world class estates. The Role: Provide strategic direction on all Estate matters to create facilities that are industry leading and truly world class. Lead the planning and management of the estate portfolio, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing value. Manage and mentor a multisite estates team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Introduce energy & sustainability solutions to meet government, industry and company NetZero targets. Partner with key stakeholders across UK business operations to ensure company needs are taken into consideration and met. Responsible for the effective performance and statutory compliance of all building services, equipment, structures and fabric to meet the group strategic aims. Define and deliver Transformation Programmes and Facilities Modification projects. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on estate performance and financial performance. Develop and deliver a world class Quality, Health, Safety & Sustainability policies. The Person: Proven experience in a senior Estates role, preferably gained in a highly regulated sector (manufacturing, engineering, etc) Demonstratable record of defining and delivering mid to long term strategies and successfully implementation. Proven track record of delivering Transformation Programmes and Facilities Modification projects. Experience of working on secure projects and managing secure facilities. Construction Design and Management regulations knowledge. Significant experience of leading organisational change programmes. Successful people manager/leader, with proven experience of creating strong, inclusive teams and maximising performance and potential.
