About the Design Department: It is our passion, for every child to develop a love for all aspects of creative and technological design. Every child can embrace their creativity given the correct environment and learning experiences, which our curriculum map embodies. Our curriculum map is designed to allow pupils to have exposure to real-life situations and be able to transfer the skills and knowledge learnt into everyday life. It is also important that every child develops a confidence to apply their skills across other areas of the curriculum, and our curriculum map has this in mind with links to science, art, business and maths in particular. Our curriculum will allow pupils to not only develop their creative skills, but also their reasoning and problem-solving skills. About You: As the Director of Faculty in D&T at Ellis Guilford School you will bring your passion for the subject and knowledge of the curriculum to lead a high performing department. Requirements: To apply for the Director of Faculty in D&T opportunity you must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field. Recent successful experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 D&T. Recent and proven experience of leading a team of people within an educational setting.
