About the Company One of the newer, award winning departments of the University of Oxford, committed to improving the world through research and education, is looking for a Director of Finance and Administration to join their diverse organisation, working out of one of their latest and most modern architectural developments in the heart of Oxford. Your new role As the Director of Finance and Administration, you will directly manage a team of circa 10 with a broad oversight of approx. 25 people. Your key responsibilities will fall within the following: Financial Strategy and Planning -

Responsible for the financial strategy and planning. Financial controls, reporting and management information -

Oversee the finance team to implement robust financial processes and practices. Research services -

Lead on the overall research strategy. Commercial -

With colleagues, establish and set pricing methodology for executive programmes, research programmes and other new initiatives. Ensure that all initiatives are financially and commercially robust. People -

Close working relationship with the Head of People, empowering them to lead the function effectively and supporting their professional development. IT/AV and Operations -

Close working relationship with the Head of IT/AV and Operations. Performance & Business Improvement -

Develop new data and best practice-driven approach to performance and business improvement. Organisational and team leadership -

Provide excellent leadership and management for the Finance and Research Services team, the Head of People and the Head of IT/AV and Operations. What you'll need to succeed You must be CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified with a commercial background, ideally with a broad range of experience (finance/non-finance related) and substantial team management skills. This role would benefit from someone with an FD background managing large teams, and the desire to join the University of Oxford in an impactful role. What you'll get in return You will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes a very generous pension contribution, 38 days of annual leave, flexible/hybrid working (3 days in the office), etc., and get to work out of their state-of-the-art building in the centre of Oxford.
