Torbay Pharma are currently looking for an experienced Director to Finance to join our team based in Paignton on up to a 12 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave. Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance plays a crucial role in the financial leadership of the organisation. You will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring collaboration across the business and managing day to day operations of the team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a senior finance role to join a growing business. This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week and is offered on a hybrid basis with the option for up to 2 days working from home. Requirements

What you can expect in a Director of Finance role at TP: Develop and execute financial strategies to support growth Month end, year end preparation including review and analysis Present financial reports to senior management Cashflow and working capital management Maintain and update financial controls inline with statutory requirements Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements, overseeing tax planning, R&D and reporting activities. Liaise with any external advisors (Audit, Tax, Insurance etc) Lead and mentor the finance team Active role in the site management team to deliver the annual performance. Continually seeking to improve on existing processes and controls, and encouragement for the team to behave in the same way. What are we looking for: Recognised accountancy qualification, ideally ACCA or ACA Previous experience in a senior financial leadership position, ideally within a manufacturing organisation Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office software. Strong leadership and team management skills. High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
