Director of Global Leadership Development

The Director, Leadership Development will play a critical role in implementing and delivering the leadership development strategy as well as leadership programs and initiatives that are aligned with strategic business goals and talent plans of the organization.

The position will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Learning, and will work with partners across HR and the wider business to ensure clear connections between the business strategy, people strategy and innovative leadership development interventions that will create a step change in the organization's leadership capability, ensuring it is fit for now and the future. Based on the needs of the business, this role will be responsible for development and execution of the leadership development strategy through leadership learning solutions for all leaders across the KION group, from aspirational leaders through to executive development, across a mixed modality portfolio that supports both formal learning pathways and continuous learning opportunities. Overseeing a team of learning specialists the Director, Leadership Development will ensure that all learning activities deliver defined outcomes for the organization.

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in building and deploying a leadership development strategy and eco-system in a global organization, who understands the business requirements and can leverage strong relationships to deploy high-quality solutions. Location is open to any of our KION locations.

Tasks And Qualifications

Understand business drivers and outcomes and identify leadership development needs to inform our strategy of leadership development and drive a KION wide solutions framework for leadership development across all Operating Units. Design and deploy a Leadership Portfolio and course curriculum aligned to KION values and leadership principles, ensuring all leadership development interventions and programs are addressing business needs and co-created in partnership with the divisions. Measure engagement and usage of solutions to understand correlation with business impact. Build measurement and analysis of outcomes into solutions to clearly demonstrate impact and return on investment. Align Leadership Development strategy with the KION People Development and Talent agenda and DEI strategy. Partner with the wider HR Teams, Functional Academies and OU Teams to deploy and execute learning solutions ensuring smooth operations and a high-quality learning experience. Act as an expert and thought leader on leadership for the organization, keeping up to date with the latest leadership thinking from inside and outside the industry. Own a portfolio of Team Enablement & Capability Tools to support intact team enablement. Work with external vendors to ensure quality of delivery. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in a related field 5+ years experience in Leadership Development Experience working in a global matrix environment. Experienced in aligning leadership learning strategies and programs to organizational strategy and creating measurable business impact. Proven track record of planning and executing learning initiatives for leaders on a global scale. Demonstrated ability to build constructive, collaborative business relationships across organizational functions and levels. A passion for delivering best in class leadership learning experiences for internal customers. Experience with leading teams to deliver the leadership and learning agendas. Experience with multiple learning modalities, such as instructor-led, self-paced and more Managing budgets to deliver learning and development programmes. Vendor Management

Desirable: Postgraduate Qualification in a related field or equivalent certifications 10+ years experience in Leadership Development and/or Learning and Development Experience in building Leadership Development Strategies and Eco-Systems from the ground up Success in creating award-winning or best-in-class learning initiatives Experience in Team Dynamics, Culture and Capability using internal and external tools Seniority level
