Description: Min. 10 years of progressive business experience in a HR management and leadership position to include the following: talent management, learning and development, recruitment, organizational development, succession planning and compensation preferably with a well-known engineering and/or upstream oil and gas firm. • Bachelor's Degree is required; preferably in Human Resources, Business or a related field; MBA is strongly preferred. • Professional Designation is preferred. • Demonstrated skill with developing long-term strategic plans and lead/participate in short-term operational implementation (ability to be both strategic and tactical). • Demonstrated expertise with the development, implementation and facilitation of recruiting or employment branding, training and development, succession and retention strategies. • Effective interpersonal, influencing, coaching & conflict-resolution skills. • Proven leadership with the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal and reach their potential. • Hands-on management style that emphasizes direct involvement in day-to-day HR functions. • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to deadline. • Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations. • Highly organized/strong attention to detail. • Demonstrated initiative; along with being results oriented. • Provide thought leadership to create and drive the subsea HR strategy. • Define and develop strategic insight and recommendations across an array of business-related challenges and opportunities. • Communicate strategies to senior management via well-structured, fact-based presentation packs/decks. • Improve existing analytical and strategic capabilities, and mentor and develop analysts to become broader generalist problem solvers and “internal consultants.” • Provide guidance and thought leadership to specific business improvement projects across the wider business if/where required. • Acts as HR business partner for Senior Leadership in Subsea. • Designs and aligns HR initiatives with business strategy and objectives. • Contributes and challenges business plans with complete understanding of business needs and their people or organizational implications. • Participate as an integral member in the strategic planning process in Subsea. • Creates and executes strategic plans to improve company performance through people development programs and initiatives for the BU. • Provide oversight and Business Unit direction on the global talent acquisition, development and people management strategy for the BU. • Act as a consultant and facilitator with all managers to ensure effective hiring decisions are made. • Direct the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the compensation strategy for the subsea business unit in alignment with ABC Corp’s overall corporate vision. • Direct and manage HR staff and their performance metrics. • Identify trends and make recommendations. • Identify and proactively raise organizational issues and trends in the BU; diagnose processes, structures and approach; recommend alternatives for improved effectiveness. • Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
