Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Director of Operations to join the Division of Emergency Service. About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role: This role requires a highly motivated inclusive and collaborative leader, someone who can engage with teams to set direction for achievement, while demonstrating highly effective interpersonal and people skills. This role is responsible for maximising the business, operations, people and financial management of the services to deliver the best patient care consistent with budget objectives and other target parameters. To be successful in this role you will have: Extensive senior clinical leadership experience in a public or private health care setting and/or senior leadership in quality or design. Prior NUM or RN Grade 5 experience. Demonstrated understanding of public health care access demand, patient flow and associated targets related to emergency access. Demonstrated application of contemporary health systems and models of care, resulting in better health outcomes for patients and the community. Experience in the analysis, redesign and application of improvement methodologies. Experience in coaching and developing staff. Experience in management and delivering quality and improvement activities, including improving patient experience. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools. Experience in working in partnership with clinicians in managing health service delivery.
