This post presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to be part of our quality and safety improvement journey and who is passionate about the patient safety agenda. This position is integrated within the Group Chief Nurse's Office and reports directly to the Group Chief Nurse. The portfolio requires the postholder to work closely with the Medical Director and the Corporate and Operational Nursing and Medical teams to deliver all aspects of quality governance. About us
The individual will be responsible for a portfolio that includes Patient Safety, Legal Services, Clinical Effectiveness, Audit and Compliance, Quality Governance, and Risk, thereby enhancing the Trust's overall performance. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent analytical skills and lead with compassion in line with our Group values and behaviours. They will be committed to improving clinical outcomes and patient safety and experience by establishing and integrating governance and risk management systems, setting clear quality and safety priorities and educational strategies, and fostering a culture focused on psychological safety and fairness. Knowledge
Masters level education in a healthcare field or equivalent experience Evidence of self-development and continuous development Knowledge and Experience
Substantial experience of clinical and/or corporate governance at a Senior level Good understanding of NHS policy, legal and inspection framework Experience of strategic management at a corporate level A successful track record of strategic planning and decision making in a complex organisation Skills
