The role:

We’re currently hiring for a Director of Product to oversee temporary insurance user journeys on Tempcover.com and across the RVU stable of brands. As leader of the product team you’ll be responsible for innovating and iterating our critical consumer-facing journeys.

You’ll lead our overall Product efforts and Product team (currently three product owners) to deliver world-class journeys and features that enable consumers to make informed decisions in complex markets, while capturing and analysing data to drive the product forward.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Tempcover SLT and your Product team to define and drive the vision and strategy for our customer value proposition and product features. A typical day would involve assisting Product team members with roadmap prioritisation, collaborating across Tempcover.com and RVU on new ideas and opportunities and future planning, leading the Product strategy for the business. What you’ll be doing:

Re-imagine the journeys across our temporary insurance products on Tempcover.com and across the RVU stable of brands. Work with the entire business to develop a differentiated customer proposition Develop a deep understanding of the needs of our audience with quantitative and qualitative data points, and evangelise those learnings within the organisation Work with your Product team to align stakeholders, direct the product roadmap, prioritise features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with business teams, engineers and/or independent contractors to ship high-quality experiences; Foster a culture of testing, data-driven decision making, and accountability for metrics and results; Lead milestone and performance reviews, updating key stakeholders with progress of stories; negotiating priorities, scope, funding, and schedules; Bridge the communication between the product team and wider organisation Work closely with our Customer Experience team to fully utilise the first-hand learnings from customers.

You are an inspiring product leader with a proven track record of developing your teams You have demonstrable success scaling consumer facing digital products that drive real user value and business financial goals You leverage both user experience and A:B testing to find product/market fit You create structure out of ambiguity and have a pragmatic “can do” and “make it happen” attitude in a collaborative way You balance what needs to be done now versus what can be done later You are analytically minded, comfortable using data to understand and communicate product performance You are an excellent communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders and tailor your message by audience You don’t need to tick off everything on this list - so don’t let that hold you back from
