As Director of Sales, your job is to drive revenue by effectively selling all aspects of this hotel within the local and national marketplace.
To ensure share and profitability of target accounts and secure new business across all market segments, by researching and targeting business in competitor hotels and venues, both locally and nationally.
You will be a Director of Sales or Sales Manager who has experience and a successful track record of sales management in a hotel or hospitality venue. Experience within a major global brand is preferred.
You will be a Director of Sales who demonstrates the following:
Experience of working within a structured team environment and able to demonstrate effective influencing skills.
Excellent sales, customer care, account management, and negotiation skills.
Strong presentation and influencing skills.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic and a good team player.
Driven and determined to achieve results.
Knowledge of PMS and CRM systems preferred, although training will be given.
Report writing skills and able to use Word, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint for presentations.
You will be accountable for:
Creating and maintaining a winning sales culture across the hotel, particularly within the reservation sales office environment.
Driving brand sales initiatives.
Producing a commercial plan that interprets the objectives of the business and maps out the actions and strategies required to support the positioning of the property.
Supporting the preparation of the company’s annual budget in area/s of responsibility.
Researching competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence and an understanding of business trends, the competition, and their key accounts.
Developing strategic plans to identify potential business to target.
Having ownership and responsibility for driving and delivering the agreed strategies in line with the commercial plan.
Actively identifying, securing, and contracting new business for all areas of the business.
Building and managing relationships with the brand Key Account Directors to maximise revenue opportunities from key national accounts.
Becoming fully conversant with all brand sales tools.
