London Borough of Tower Hamlets MLK Education Search are seeking an exceptional Director of Sports with a proven track record in teaching and leadership, to head up a Physical Education and Sports department which already boasts a strong reputation. The school is a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive, co-educational secondary and sixth form which has proudly served the community of East London for almost a century. Situated in an area of relatively high deprivation, the school is committed to transforming the life opportunities of their students. The successful candidate will be innovative, as well as having the management skills to move PE forward. You will be: Ambitious, forward thinking and have management experience to help maintain the high standards of the school. Able to evidence excellent classroom practice or have the potential to achieve it. Able to evidence a track record of successful student outcomes across Key Stages 3-5, and raising performance in PE. Committed to expecting high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour. Inspiring and motivational to develop the potential of colleagues and students. Passioniate for providing an extensive extra-curricular opportunities for young people.
