Director, Product Management - Loans Platform
to join our team. This role is located in
Manchester
– Hybrid. You’ll make an impact in the following ways: Collaborates with the Platform Leaders to translate the overall vision to a vision for the pods within the Platform and is accountable for ensuring ongoing delivery of value; maintains a prioritized product roadmap/backlog, continuously assesses feedback and collaborates with stakeholders. Responsible for leading and providing strategic direction on product management, development, and marketing processes for multiple highly complex global products that are high impact and high profile. Develop, lead, and execute the strategic vision for Product or Platform; own the overall Product / Platform roadmap, and align teams around delivery goals. Provide leadership support to multiple pod-level Product Owners and ensure alignment across multiple pod-level product backlogs. Provide strategic input & decisioning, manage & reduce blockers, & ensure continuous flow of work, helping pod owners refine & reprioritize pod backlogs. Provide day-to-day direction to guide Product / Platform operations and evaluate the impact of the Product against established scorecard. Manage issue escalations and risks; track financials. Liaises with and/or manages cross-functional teams to deliver products that address client needs. Responsible for providing strategic direction to enterprise teams working on cross-platform deliveries. Accountable for all risks originated from services delivered (including remediation efforts) & owns, manages and aggregates view of risk across Product / Platform. Uses complete and detailed understanding of the product set to drive design or development considerations and validate that support model for post-rollout is in place. Responsible for managing product direction, strategy, and overall related project execution plans. May serve as Team Lead, leading other product manager(s) within a product area, to define and deliver solutions and manage their day-to-day work. Contributes to the achievement of Product Management objectives. Fosters agile ways of working, DevOps, and automated testing. To be successful, we’re seeking interest in the following areas: Extensive related experience required; experience in the syndicated loan market, private wealth loans, administrative agent, or other loan-type asset classes, or money movement, reconciliations, trading. Success standing up new teams, fostering growth and development, agile ways of working, and team collaboration. Effective coaching and collaboration skills. Ability to influence, make hard decisions, and problem solve. Ability to break down highly complex loan initiatives into small epics and stories that deliver incremental business value. Passion for changing the status quo, driving out-of-the-box thinking. Ability to adapt and lead through change. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer science engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Extensive product experience and agile ways of working.
