The job: We are looking for a dedicated Director of Regional Marketing to join Thermo Fisher’s Microbiology Division (MBD), headquartered out of our Basingstoke, UK site. This role has a global remit, with our Regional Marketing teams in North America, LATAM, EMEA and APJ/EM (inc China) reporting in to you. You will lead a team of 6 Marketing Managers to identify products and portfolio workflows for each region whilst developing marketing strategies and tracking metrics. You will collaborate with various teams to build marketing campaigns and calendars, alongside building programs and tools to support sales growth. This role is site-based at our Basingstoke, UK site, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week. International travel will be required – up to 25% of working time on average. . What will you do? Recommend MBD strategies to implement regional marketing plans including N. America, LATAM, EMEA, and APJ/EM (inc China) Develop specific regional marketing goals and objectives Collate, summarise, and derive insights from the local competition to strengthen our brand position in assigned regions Supervise and develop the regional budget Liaise with the product management team to suggest product alternatives Understand global marketing plans and tailor them for a particular region Develop a keen understanding of the financial goals in the region and the key success indicators Work with digital marketing to ensure that marketing leads are collected Assess efficiency and return on investment of marketing strategies Manage a team of Regional Marketing Managers Establish processes and critical metrics Work collaboratively with Product Management, Marketing Development, Marketing Operations, digital marketing, and commercial to maintain alignment Partner with the regional commercial leaders to support the creation of marketing activities that support the revenue achievement of this division Support commercial leadership to enable sales activation Monitor, report, and draw conclusions on market intelligence, macroeconomics, and the regulatory environment. Who we are looking for: Extensive experience in Regional Marketing roles, coming from the clinical (IVD/IVDR), life science, or pharma industries, with in-depth knowledge of operating in a regulated market Proven ability in translating marketing strategy into tactical plans and actioning those plans Understanding of digital marketing practices and definition of critical metrics Prior direct people management experience Experience of working in a large, international matrix organization, with proficiency in complex partner management and influencing others Familiarity with Salesforce and PowerBi A data driven approach, skilled in using data Collaborative and willing to speak up, strong leadership competencies Excellent organization and interpersonal skills Leadership, problem-solving, and networking skills Strong communication skills, analytical, project management, and planning & reporting skills are essential Proficient in written and spoken English Willing and able to travel internationally up to 25% of working time on average What’s in it for you: We offer competitive remuneration, an annual incentive plan bonus scheme and a range of employee benefits including: Private Healthcare; Holiday Purchase Scheme; Matched pension contributions up to 8%; Gym Membership discounts & more.
