Director – Risk £180,000 - 220,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus + Benefits London - Hybrid An established FCA-regulated financial services company seeks an experienced Risk Director to join their executive Board. Key Responsibilities: Guide the Board and develop/align the strategy of the company with its risk management. Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework. Lead S166 remediation efforts and implement preventative risk measures. Oversee Compliance Department and maintain effective second line of defence. Conduct risk assessments and stressed scenario analyses. Own and maintain the firm's ICARA. Provide risk management training and influence corporate governance. Essential Qualifications: Extensive experience leading in S166 remediation and preventative risk measures in smaller risk management departments. Prior SMF/approved person role or equivalent experience. Proven track record in senior executive-level risk management within financial services. Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly at Board level. In-depth knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk, and business risk management principles and regulatory environment. Understanding of key compliance matters as applied to an investment management, wealth management, or broking business. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
