Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Total Reward to lead a team responsible for the strategic overview and delivery of a best-in-class service across the IHS Group. Leading a small team of professionals, the successful applicant will be responsible for demonstrating thought leadership in the development and execution of total rewards methodologies and approaches. They will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our total rewards programs globally, which includes compensation, benefits, equity, LTIP, internal mobility and recognition programs. This role is also responsible for developing, communicating and implementing a companywide total rewards strategy by researching best practices and trends and performing analysis on effectiveness, competitiveness, and perceived value of existing compensation and benefits programs. The Director Total Reward creates solutions through analysis of internal and external data to help create short-term and long-term strategies in compensation, benefits, and recognition, that align to organization objectives and employee value proposition. This position requires both the ability to function at a strategic level as well as ensure operational excellence. Key Roles and Responsibilities Develop and lead the compensation and benefits strategy for the company, including defining competitive benefits, managing rising costs, and planning all aspects of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans. Ensure all compensation and benefits are market competitive, aligned with business goals, and in compliance with company policies and evolving regulatory requirements. Lead the development and execution of communications and change management plans related to Total Reward. Monitor the effectiveness of compensation programs, policies, guidelines and procedures. Recommend revisions or new plans that ensure market competitiveness, are cost effective and consistent with the strategy and philosophy of the company. Provide leadership to team members, actively participate in performance management and development process as part of broader HR leadership. Support executive compensation, including developing plans and proposals for the Remuneration Committee (RemCo) and executive leadership team. Responsible for the management of all aspects of expatriate compensation and benefits. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors, consultants, and business partners, including brokers, providers, and administrators. Develop strategic compensation programs and solutions to drive business results. Assist in the benchmarking, design and implementation of all regional compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and sales compensation to ensure they align with company strategy and best-in-class practices. Develop policies and guidelines related to base salary, short term bonus plans and local talent retention strategies. Ensure benefit programs meet the needs of the employees and are aligned with the market. Responsible for the management of the global expat community. Maintain an excellent, broad knowledge of Global Mobility topics, especially with regards to country specifics immigration, social security, tax and permanent establishment risks. Provide expertise and guidance to other members of the HR team. Advise on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, and job evaluations, also manage the gender pay gap, gender pay equity analysis and reporting. Develop communication strategies to ensure awareness of relevant and updated compensation and benefit programs and policies. Manage the LTIP program and administration. Manage the annual short term incentive process ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Maintain knowledge of Total Reward industry trends and employment laws and ensure organization's compliance. Support Finance and the HR Controller with annual budget and monthly reconciliation process. Manage expatriate arrangements and immigration arrangements, including assignment package development, pay delivery and tax services. Develop presentations, proposals, and materials for the Executive Committee and Board as required. Identify, report, and resolve issues relating to benefits plans and coordinate with benefits brokers to resolve any escalated issues. Assist with the implementation of international benefits plans and programs. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience 4-6 Years Leading a global Total Reward team required with proven International Reward expertise. 7-9 Years Experience in setting compensation and benefits strategy. License and Certifications Human Resources/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI CIPD Certified preferred. GRP - Global Reward Professional (or similar) certification. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; advanced level in Excel. Proven business acumen and superior judgement. Develop strong customer and executive relationships. Familiarity with executive compensation. Analytical with strong execution skills to drive solutions to completion with excellent attention to detail.
