Disaster Recovery Plan Technical Author

to join the team and play a key role in documenting and validating recovery processes for critical IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) and Technical Recovery Procedures (TRPs) for mission-critical and business-critical systems. Collaborate with IT teams across multiple regions to gather technical and non-technical details for recovery documentation. Facilitate Desktop Walkthrough Tests to validate DRPs and TRPs, making updates based on outcomes. Ensure all documentation is reviewed, approved, and stored in the central repository. Track progress and maintain the Disaster Recovery dashboard, providing data for regular performance reporting. Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure their recovery capabilities align with Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).

About You

You'll be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at translating technical information into clear, concise documentation. Collaboration and project management are key to this role. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in IT documentation, disaster recovery planning, or business continuity. Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather and organise information. Strong organisational and communication skills. Familiarity with frameworks like ITIL or ISO 22301 is desirable. Experience in planning and conducting system recovery tests is an advantage.
