Disrepairs Supervisor Competitive salary:

Bedfordshire (with a focus on Milton Keynes and Luton) Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for improving resident satisfaction in the social housing sector? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Disrepairs Supervisor to join our team in Bedfordshire. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing the investigation and resolution of disrepair cases across a portfolio of properties, primarily within the Milton Keynes and Luton areas. What you'll be doing:
Lead and manage disrepair cases:
Investigate and assess resident disrepair reports, ensuring accurate and timely assessments. Liaise with residents:
Communicate effectively with residents, keeping them informed throughout the disrepair process and addressing their concerns promptly. Coordinate with contractors:
Oversee the work of external contractors, ensuring repairs are carried out to a high standard, within agreed timescales, and within budget. Ensure compliance:
Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, including the Housing Act 2004 and relevant building regulations. Monitor and analyse disrepair data:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to disrepair performance and identify areas for improvement. Proactive issue resolution:
Identify and address potential issues proactively to prevent future disrepair occurrences. Continuous improvement:
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve disrepair performance and enhance resident satisfaction. What you'll bring:
Proven experience as a Disrepairs Supervisor, Housing Officer, or in a similar role within the social housing sector. In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, particularly the Housing Act 2004. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with residents and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Experience of using housing management software (desirable). Valid UK Driving Licence is essential. Benefits:
