Our client seeks a Divisional Accountant to join their team.

You must be willing to relocate to the Isle of Man to apply.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for a small yet experienced finance team. Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the team, the ideal candidate will show robust leadership and people development skills as well as a systematic approach to tasks.

A key element to this role is the ability to collaborate closely with various stakeholders on all levels within the business while being an ambassador with excellent communication skills, an open mind, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Work with your team to ensure the highest standards of service, operations, and changes for the benefit of the business are delivered, to include Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Intercompany and Reporting.

Monthly and yearly cash flow forecast and budgeting.

Oversight of monthly Management Accounts.

Inventory confirmations and analysis.

Internal auditing, report and data validation (VAT, Duty, etc).

Ensure the strong control environment and robust processes continue/improve.

Validation and approval of all payroll aspects.

Establish finance employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews together with identifying required training.

Operate as a member of the finance team providing support to your colleagues and developing a valued opinion in all areas of the business.

Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with Managing Directors and key business personnel.

Maintaining the company's fleet records for all contract hire vehicles.

Understanding of end-to-end data flow/information within the business units and systems.

Aid the finance areas of the business in change management.

Key Skills & Experience

Certified Accountant (ACCA/ICEAW) or Part Qualified.

Current experience as a practicing accountant (minimum three years).

VAT/Tax compliance.

Deep understanding of importing and exporting.

First-rate communication, inter-personal, and influencing skills.

Excellent technical skills and attention to detail including the capacity to identify and appropriately assess priorities.

Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily with senior leaders from all areas of the business.

Good standard of IT literacy, including Excel.

Self-motivated and reliable, with a track record of achievements.

Naturally inquisitive, and able to bring new ideas.

Thrive when leading others in the pursuit of team goals.
