Divisional Finance Director - BMW Division, Vertu Motors plc

Vertu Motors plc, one of the UK's largest motor retailers, is continuing to advance its strategic goals. Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our senior finance team as the Divisional Finance Director for our successful BMW Division and Motorrad businesses. This is a unique and rare opportunity to contribute to the success of one of the UK's leading automotive retailers, representing the prestigious BMW, MINI and Motorrad brands.

As Divisional Finance Director, you will play a critical role within the senior finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This position offers a platform for a talented individual to showcase their expertise at the highest level within a dynamic and challenging environment. You will be part of a senior leadership team that includes the CFO, Deputy CFO, and 11 other Divisional Finance Directors, all working together to shape and execute the finance vision and strategy for the Group.

In this role, you will provide strategic financial support to the Divisional Operational Director while leading the finance team across the BMW, Motorrad and MINI dealership network. Your ability to translate financial data into actionable operational strategies and your strong influence on senior management will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Operational Director to review dealership performance, ensure robust financial controls, and uphold governance standards. Provide expert advice on the financial implications of operational decisions and support their implementation across the division. Support the Group CFO and Group Financial Controller in delivering the group finance strategy and policies at the divisional level. Lead the Finance Function for the division, managing and mentoring dealership accountants. Implement and monitor the effectiveness of Group Policies and Procedures across the division. Deliver and analyse management information, composite information and other third party data to aid operational decision-making and identify new opportunities. Safeguard company assets, minimise costs, and oversee risk management within the division. Standardise finance processes across dealerships to ensure consistency and accuracy. Exemplify the Group's Values and demonstrate exceptional leadership within your team. Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a proven track record in overseeing and structuring the delivery of management accounts across a multi-site motor retail business. You must have the ability to govern financial functions remotely, lead and develop a team, and ensure the consistent and accurate delivery of financial accounts.

Your strong numerical and analytical skills are crucial, as is your ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of management. This role requires exceptional leadership qualities as well as financial acumen.

Location:

This is a UK-wide role, with the Group's BMW, Motorrad and MINI dealerships being located in the North East of England as well as in the South West and we are open to considering candidates from various locations.

What We Offer:

Competitive earning potential up to £100,000. 10% Employer Contribution Pension Scheme. Company car through one of our Group's car schemes. 25 days holiday, increasing with length of service, plus bank holidays. Private Medical Insurance. Access to the all-colleague Share Incentive Plan. Access to the Group's Partnership Share Scheme. Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Scheme. Access to our Vertu Rewards platform, offering a range of benefits. Apply Today:

If you have the skills and experience to excel in this senior leadership role, we invite you to apply and join us on our journey of success. #J-18808-Ljbffr
