The Divisional Managing Director will support the Divisional Clinical Director in providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Division provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. Main Duties of the Job

The Divisional Managing Director will be accountable to the Divisional Clinical Director and will ensure that services within the division are delivered within budget, to agreed quality standards, and in accordance with the Division’s Strategic objectives. Responsibilities include: Ensuring high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance. Delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives. Transformational leadership across all clinical services. Person Specification

Qualifications

Significant additional role related and personal development training commensurate with a very senior management post. Previous Experience

Significant experience at very senior manager level in the NHS. Experience in an acute trust. Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

Experience of performance managing others to ensure organizational delivery and success. Ability to analyse highly complex areas of work to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Specific Requirements

Experience of strategic long-term planning. Experience of managing complexity and delivering on performance targets.
