About the Role Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, the Domain Architect for Commercial and Operations will work with stakeholders to align technology blueprints with business objectives. This role requires a wide understanding of both the technology landscape and business operations to ensure IT investments are strategically aligned with the overall goals of the company and our technology principles. Analysing current architecture and processes to identify areas for improvement and helping develop comprehensive plans to implement new capabilities will be a key part of this role. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various departments to provide technical guidance and ensure seamless integration of new solutions. The Domain Architect will be responsible for staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the organization, and recommending innovative solutions that can drive growth and efficiency. You will also play a key role in risk management, ensuring that all technology implementations comply with relevant regulations and security standards. In this position, interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders in simple terms and help drive the C&C Group business towards a common target architecture. Key Accountabilities Own the target architecture and roadmap of the domain. Manage the transitional plans to move the domain from the as-is to the target state. Deliver the architecture capability within the business domain, from creating solution options papers through the high-level designs. Work closely with business leaders, technology teams and external partners to understand and translate the needs of your stakeholders into appropriate design. Oversee the implementation of your designs to ensure they meet or exceed defined performance indicators. Own and manage all Commercial and Operations designs within the Technology Design Authority. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the domain. Enthusiastically take on what is needed to help the team and the company meet objectives. About you Architecture Framework certification – TOGAF, Zachman etc. Degree level qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated experience of working in an Enterprise Architecture environment in a complex organisation. 5+ years in a Solutions Architecture role in a large and complex enterprise. Understanding of Commercial processes within a retail/FMCG business. Understanding of Operations processes (Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Services) within a retail/FMCG business. Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation for architecture designs and processes.
