Donations Administrator, Charity, c£20,000. We are seeking a Donations Administrator for my client, a Christian Charity in Oxfordshire, to join their Supporter Care team to look after the day-to-day data entry and input. We need someone with excellent administrative skills, who finds satisfaction working with numbers and has excellent attention to detail who also wishes to work in a friendly environment and is capable of quite happily working independently on repetitive tasks. You will have experience of working in a service environment, and have excellent numerical and financial skills, together with solid communication skills. You’ll be enthusiastic, have a keen eye for detail, and a desire to see a job well done. This is a Christian charity and there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be an active and practising Christian. Day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: add new supporter information to the database ensuring consistency and accuracy ensure supporter records are accurately and regularly maintained amend records in accordance with supporter information and requests or other required amendments input and commit donations to CRM database assist in the processing and administration of Gift Aid declarations assist in the opening of incoming mail assist in the processing of incoming gifts and preparing single and regular gifts for batching and data input to the database system respond, in cooperation with colleagues, to supporter requests and queries in a timely and efficient manner develop and maintain effective communication with both Supporter Finance colleagues and other departments and respond to needs for assistance where necessary assist in the daily banking of cheques and cash send acknowledgement letters of donations to supporters to be aware of, and adhere to, the HMRC auditing requirements to undertake other reasonable departmental tasks as requested by the line manager A good basic level of education (including solid C+ grades in Maths and English) is required and demonstrable experience in a professional capacity of administration within a supporter / customer care environment. Additionally a good level of computer literacy (MS Office suite) and the ability to politely and effectively communicate with email, telephone and other methods is essential. Sound interesting?
