We are seeking a DQ Improvement and Engagement Officer to help improve operational data workflow and engage with all levels of staff to help provide accurate and timely hospital activity data enabling correct billing and supporting critical external reporting to NHSE.

In recent years, the BI team has been instrumental in guiding the Trust through critical healthcare challenges, predicting COVID-19 admissions with advanced forecasting models, developing real-time operational dashboards, and accessing unprecedented data flows. This exceptional work has earned national acclaim, including the Health Tech Newspaper Award for Best Use of Data in 2020 and AphA's Analytical Team of the Year award.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated Improvement and Engagement Officer with strong data mapping expertise, who can communicate and work closely with diverse stakeholders to improve workflow to ensure accurate data for analysis. The ideal candidate will excel under pressure, manage conflicting deadlines, and prioritise tasks efficiently.

A key focus of the role is to support the Trust's Business Intelligence team in improving patient experience, contributing to our vision of delivering the "Best Care for Everyone." This role requires excellent communication skills and will be able to promote change within a challenging environment.

The successful candidate will: Assist the Data Quality Team to deliver the Data Quality Coding Programme and Strategy for the Trust. Engage and provide support to operational staff to ensure correct processes and workflow are followed to improve patient safety and recover lost income. Ensure that the Trust meets the required technical standards for data submitted externally by engaging with operational staff across all levels. Perform such other duties which may from time to time be necessary.

The main responsibilities for this job include assisting the Data Quality Team to deliver the Data Quality Coding Programme and Strategy for the Trust by engaging with operational staff in challenging conditions and extremely busy environments.

The post holder will be confident in working with users and implementing good processes to improve the quality of data being recorded. They should be able to implement SOPs and provide training to all clinical staff.

The post holder will also be expected to engage in all areas of the hospital to highlight any potential issues with data-driven workflows that might affect hospital activity data for reporting and billing.
