Founded in 1983, Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. The services are provided by over 40 franchisees with geographical coverage across most of the UK, Scotland, and Norther Ireland. This is a full-time vacancy and will involve you in providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers. The successful candidate will be provided with a company van and fuel card. What does it entail? Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards Carrying out surveys Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four– variable according to the business needs What are we looking for? High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate Confined space entry experience CSCS tickets Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude Want to be part of a growing and progressive business Be willing to work some unsociable hours Full UK driving licence Must live in the Peterborough area What you will receive Ability to work in a positive team environment and develop your technical skills Competitive salary and benefits package Auto-enrolment pension Van / mobile and uniform, PPE provided Structured approach to your training and development Formal Apprenticeship Courses are also available, via our certified provider ITOL 28 days holiday including bank holidays
