Are you ready to take on a hands-on role solving drainage challenges? We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Drainage Mate / Engineer to join our team! If you're an eager Drainage Mate with an ambition to learn, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a talented team and develop your skills in the drainage and plumbing industry. Key Responsibilities: Work on commercial internal drainage systems, including clearing blockages, performing patch repairs, and carrying out basic plumbing tasks such as pipe repairs and leak detection. Operate and maintain drainage tools and machinery, such as the Picote Machine and Spartan 300 Drain Cleaning Machine (training provided). Assist in surveying job sites, assessing drainage systems, and recommending the necessary parts and tools for repairs. Replace, repair, and maintain manhole covers and other surface drainage components. Carry out minor excavations to access damaged pipes and blockages, with a focus on working safely, especially in confined spaces (Confined Space Certification is a plus). Assist senior engineers with day-to-day tasks, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Help with site preparation, clean-up, and safety compliance. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction. What We're Looking For: Previous experience in drainage work is advantageous, whether as a Drainage Engineer or a Mate assisting engineers. A strong foundation in basic plumbing tasks (pipe repairs, leak detection, fitting replacements) and drainage systems is helpful. A willingness to learn new skills, especially in the use of specialist drainage equipment. Ability to work well within a team, assisting engineers and supporting smooth operations on-site. Knowledge of working in confined spaces and maintaining safety standards on-site. Confined Space Certification is desirable. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, team members, and contractors. A full UK driving license is preferred. Why Join Us? Career Development:
