A Structural Steel Draughtsman is required for a well-established metalwork company based in Somerset, known for providing efficient and high-quality fabrication services.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys a more varied role and is eager to develop and expand their skills in the structural steel sector.
Location : Office-based, with occasional travel to site Salary : £35,000 - £50,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities : Produce accurate and detailed drawings for structural steel fabrication and installation using CAD/Tekla Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and site conditions Travel to site as needed for measurements and site-specific data collection Assist with the general planning and coordination of fabrication and installation processes Support the wider team with project-related tasks as required Requirements : CAD/Tekla proficiency General knowledge of structural steel fabrication, installation, and cladding A background in a related field, such as QS, Engineering, Design, or shop-floor experience leading to junior management A keen interest in a varied, hands-on role Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and develop professionally Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Please apply with your most up-to-date CV, and you will be contacted.
