We are seeking a motivated and reliable

DT Technician

to support the delivery of high-quality DT education. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in practical subjects to make a real impact in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Design & Technology department with preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment. Set up and clear away equipment for lessons, ensuring everything is ready for teaching. Assist with the safe use of tools, machinery, and resources in the classroom. Provide technical support during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Maintain the stock of resources, including ordering materials and keeping an inventory of tools. Help ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Assist in the preparation of teaching resources and materials for lessons. Help with administrative tasks, including filing and keeping records up to date.

Requirements:

A keen interest in Design & Technology or a similar subject. Previous technician experience is preferred but not essential. A

DBS check on the update service

is required. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with students and staff. A proactive approach and willingness to learn on the job.
