Job Title: Dual Registered Manager Location: Maidstone Reports to: Responsible Individual/Operations Manager Overview: The Registered Manager is responsible for the management of a children's residential home, focusing on providing medium- to long-term placements for young people transitioning towards independent living. The role involves leadership, staff management, and ensuring high levels of care in line with the organization's procedures and strategies. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop a range of quality services for young people in the home. Promote partnership working with young people, families, staff, and external agencies. Ensure staff understand and implement Child Protection Procedures. Lead the team to achieve the home's objectives and ensure compliance with the Statement of Purpose. Oversee staff resources, ensure appropriate cover in emergencies, and participate in the on-call rota. Provide supervision, training, and appraisal for staff, supporting their professional development. Maintain effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders. Manage health and safety regulations and ensure the home's environment is safe and well-maintained. Ensure financial control, administrative processes, and record-keeping comply with expectations. Implement the organization's Equality and Diversity policies. Participate in recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes as needed. Common Duties: Monitor and evaluate service quality to ensure standards are met. Manage team communication to align with company policies and objectives. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Provide leadership and vision for the staff team, ensuring effective workload management. Qualifications & Skills: Strong understanding of statutory requirements for children's residential care. Proven leadership and management skills within a care setting. Ability to motivate staff, manage resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Commitment to equality, diversity, and confidentiality in service delivery.
