We are recruiting for a Research and Insight Project Lead

Would you like to join us to harness the power of connected, thriving and resilient communities? This is a new role, intended to build additional capacity for Durham Community Action (DCA) to help us amplify the significant value Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) delivery plays in building and sustaining social capital across County Durham. This is an opportunity to provide and enable social value infrastructure support to DCA, VCS organisations and community activities assuring the value of the sector is appropriately accounted for. We want to effectively engage within the research, insight and social value landscape across County Durham to ensure that volunteer & community-led action is fully and equitably engaged in impact measurement. We want to secure an equitable evidence base to influence commissioning and policy into practice priorities in County Durham. We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about illustrating the impact of the Voluntary and Community Sector, to work with a variety of professionals from across a broad spectrum of community-based social and wellbeing services. Much of this work involves building links between academics, professionals and front-line staff, and volunteers, together with community-based groups and organisations. You will be an experienced practitioner who understands the complexities of partnership working and the spectrum of insight, evaluation and community involvement activities, confident enough to work with people from a broad range of disciplines and settings, to understand their interests. £34,398 full-time (35 hours per week) Work base:

Our office base is in Willington, County Durham. DCA staff currently have a hybrid working model, working remotely from home as well as a minimum of two days in our Willington offices. Applications packs
