The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Deputy Site Manager to ensure safety procedures are carried out efficiently to enable work being undertaken by a 3rd party. In this role, you will be on the Clacton Depot site on a shift-by-shift basis, acting as the accountable manager to maintain a safe and efficient train maintenance environment. Key Responsibilities
Open and close the site per schedule in accordance with roster; manage waste streams and coordinate oil waste collection. Perform overhead line isolations and implement depot protection measures with 3rd party maintainers. Conduct regular checks and audits of 3rd party compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW). Report defects in plant and equipment; act as line manager for incidents and initial investigations. Co-ordinate between 3rd party maintainer and the rest of Greater Anglia on trains arriving and departing depot. Serve as Fire Warden and First Aider; ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems. Oversee generator operations for train shore supply and coordinate train arrivals/departures at the depot. What We Are Looking For
Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively. Are calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, well-organized with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively. Have an inquisitive nature with attention to detail. Possess a "can-do" attitude and enjoy working as part of a team at all levels; competence in safety critical work. Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment. Possess IOSH or equivalent safety qualification and have accident investigation training. Have knowledge of fleet maintenance, operational activities, and health and safety regulations applicable to the railway and workplace. What's In It For You?
